Dr. Gabriel de Arruda Castro, a former Brazilian political journalist, joins Cedarville University as assistant professor of international relations, enriching classrooms with firsthand political insight and a global, faith-informed perspective.

Cedarville University student Grace Eddy spent her summer interning for U.S. Rep. Gabe Evans in one of America’s most contested districts. From handling constituent services to facing protests, she gained firsthand experience in politics, advocacy and faith under pressure.

Cedarville University raised more than $500,000 on Giving Tuesday, with donors sponsoring 590 of students’ 1,000 days on campus. The gifts will support scholarships, campus improvements and student programs through the university’s 1,000 Days Fund.

Cedarville University will celebrate the season with its free Community Christmas Concert on Dec. 7. The public is invited to enjoy choral, jazz and orchestral performances centered on the birth of Christ in a joyful, worshipful setting.

Dr. Kyung-hwa Kim launched Cedarville’s K-Talk Table to help students practice Korean and grow in cultural awareness. Her international experience enriches language learning and inspires students to think globally about faith and service.

Cedarville University’s Interdisciplinary Health Fair on Dec. 4 will provide free health screenings and education to over 200 K–12 students, combining hands-on learning for university students with a public event that promotes wellness and future health care careers.

Students from Cedarville University are serving refugees in the Dayton area through International Family Night (IFN), a monthly event held at Beavercreek Christian Church. In this program, the students build relationships by playing board games, sharing meals, studying the Bible and providing academic tutoring.

Now in his second season, Cedarville basketball coach Rob Jones is building a program defined by grit, faith, and mentorship. From Missouri street ball to NCAA coaching, his journey reflects a calling to develop players on and off the court.
