In 2011, the Cedarville University School of Nursing (SON) welcomed its first Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) cohort of approximately 20 students. Just 11 years later, we welcomed 168 new and returning students.

“Cedarville University-trained nurses are amazing!” I hear it all the time. Medical professionals desire to hire our students; they know there is a difference in our nursing graduates. That’s why many students have multiple job offers before they ever walk across the graduation stage. But what is the difference? What makes a Cedarville-trained nurse so amazing?

More than 40 years ago, God placed a desire to start a Christian nursing program in the hearts and minds of Cedarville University Leadership.
